Baix Ebre
The Consorci de Residus del Baix Ebre (Rebé) controls the collection services of both the selective fractions (paper, glass, containers and organic fraction) and the rest fraction, as well as the collection of bulky items and the clean points fixed and mobile. These services are an administrative concession that currently falls to the company FOMENTO DE CONSTRUCCIONES Y CONTRATAS SA until 2015.
The technical services organize the routes between the different municipalities, control the smooth running of the service both for collections and cleaning and maintenance of the containers and clean points, and the requests of the municipalities are attended to and coordinated in Regarding changes of locations, special services for parties or specific movements of containers. A great tool to carry out this control is the on-board weighing system, which allows you to know when each container has been emptied and how many kilos have been collected.
Complaints received from citizens and city councils are also addressed in order to solve problems that may arise and provide better service to citizens.
Montsià
The Montsià waste consortium controls and provides collection services for both the selective fractions (paper, glass, packaging and organic fraction) and the rest fraction, as well as the collection centers in the region . These services are an administrative concession that currently falls to companies:
- ACCIONA SERVICIOS URBANOS until 2015 (waste and organic fraction collection services, amortization of collection vehicles, street cleaning service)
- The Selective Collection UTE (Acciona Servicios Urbanos and Baix Mont Contenidors SL. Until 2015 + 2 (collection of paper, glass, packaging, management and maintenance of the islands, collection of large producers and management of clean points in small municipalities )
- Hermanos Pellicé until 2013 + 2 (clean points in the large municipalities and Sant Jaume, and collection of bulky door-to-door)
