Baix Ebre
The collection of paper and light packaging is carried out with underground containers of 5m3 and 3.5m3 surface, and that of glass with 3m3 underground containers and 1.8m3 surface, which are emptied by trucks high-capacity state-of-the-art technology that allows only one driver to go. In the region there are a total of 398 paper containers, 406 for light containers and 390 for glass, between underground and surface, which serve all municipalities, therefore there is 1 container for every 205 inhabitants.
The collection is done during the daytime, on different days of the week. In the case of glass, collections are made based on how quickly the containers are filled.
Each fraction is taken to its corresponding processor:
- paper / cardboard: Hermanos Pellicé waste manager, located in Amposta. This company organizes it in bullets and transfers it to a final manager.
- light packaging: SANEA light packaging sorting plant, located in Constantí
- glass: REVIBASA glass recovery plant, located in Montblanc
From there, new materials will be obtained that will avoid the consumption of raw materials, thus contributing to the conservation of our environment.
Montsià
The collection of paper and light packaging is carried out with 5m3 underground containers, and that of glass with 3m3 underground containers, which are emptied by large capacity trucks and by collection teams formed by a driver and a pawn. In the region there are a total of 225 underground paper containers, 225 containers and 225 glass that serve all municipalities, therefore there is 1 container for every 321 inhabitants. There are also igloos on the surface, which serve remote centers.
The collection is done during daytime hours, from Monday to Saturday, on different days of the week. In the case of glass, collections are made based on how quickly the containers are filled.
