From the beginning of the mosquito control works in the Ebro Delta, around 1987, we were tutored by the EID Méditerranée, providing us with the theoretical knowledge that could finally be put into practice in our territory during the last 25 years. At the same time, a clear spirit of collaboration begins, sharing mutual experiences and similar problems. In the last 25 years, this collaboration has only increased and has borne great fruit in facing the new challenges that technical, legislative and environmental issues have given us.
With this vocation and the fruit of our collaborative work, ADEGE (Agence nationale pour la demoustication i la gestion des espaces demoustiques), an association that brings together all French public bodies, welcomed us as an associated body and has allowed us to share all its technical work as politicians at the European Union level (creation of EDEN, a body that brings together public mosquito control services at the European level).
The CODE initially, and now COPATE, continue to have this clear collaborative will and in this sense it was as in 1997 that we were the promoters and founding partners of the ACV (Agrupación de Control Vectorial), which groups together the existing public mosquito control services in the Spanish territory.
