Strategies

Until a few years ago, the use that has been made of pesticides both at an agricultural and environmental level has not been very rational. The often indiscriminate use of certain dangerous active substances has generated high risks for animals and people.

In recent years, a trend has emerged at the level of pest control to rationalize the use of pesticides. Therefore, the fight against agricultural and urban pests must rationally reduce the consumption of chemical agents towards integrated control strategies, which incorporate environmental management measures, biological control and other methods (physical, chemical, biological, etc.) that are more compatible with the environment.

In this sense, CODE has already been working on this line of work since the beginning of its activities and understands that it is necessary to increasingly go towards integrated control strategies that rationalize the use of different pesticides.
